when it rains...

...it pours.

and it has poured all this month in our household.

first, our a/c went out...again...
but you already knew that. $$$

then our refrigerator decided to quit.
so we had to get a new one. $$$

then my trail blazer decided it wanted to stall every time i stopped.
so that had to be fixed. $$$

we can't seem to catch a break this month.

and normally my head hits the pillow and i'm out like a light...
well, that didn't happen last night.
the last time i looked at my phone it was 4:15am...and my alarm goes off at 5am.
so i got roughly 45 min. of sleep
and have a loooooooooooong 12 hrs ahead of me.

i'm exhausted.

however,
peyton got a bath...
and his face pretty much sums up how we felt this weekend!

on a side note...

please keep the indiana state fair and sugarland fans in your thoughts.
as i'm sure most of you have heard, 5 people were killed (and over 40 injured) this weekend during the concert at the fairgrounds, after part of the stage collapsed. 
it is a tragedy and i am completely saddened that this has happened.
i am so proud of my state people who worked together to help all the victims involved.

things i never thought i'd do in front of david.

• pee with the door wide open.


• talk about tampons and ask him to get me some from the store.


• put on my green clay mask and walk around.


• pluck my eyebrows in front of him.


• not shave my legs for a week.


• say the word "douche" multiple times a day.


• burp like a man.


• leave my hair unwashed for longer than i should.


• ask him to borrow his deoderant.

isn't it funny how when you are first with someone, you don't want them to ever see you at your worst...whether it is how you look, or things you do...

oh how life changes!
i love it!

life...

this week i thought.

a lot.

about where life has taken me.

about my decisions.

and happiness.

i am happy.

david is happy.

peyton is happy.

that is really all that matters.

i don't care that i don't have a thousand friends.

i don't care that i don't go out every weekend.

david and i are settled.

we are comfortable in our own skin.

we don't have to talk.

we don't have to pretend.

we enjoy us.

and i love that.

i am loving rain. after 1.5 months of not seeing a single drop, we had a nice little shower monday!

i am loving too faced shadow insurance! Have you ever tried this? Oh my word...it is amazing. You just put a dab on your eyelids before you put on your makeup and voila! no creasing!! AMAZING!

i am loving my precious a/c is fixed. again. hopefully this will be the last time it needs to be fixed this summer!

i am loving the COLTS have their first pre-season game this saturday vs. the rams!! hello dallas clark!!

i can assure you, i will be consuming adult beverages  :)

stupid a/c.

 my a/c quit working again.

yes, the a/c has gone out TWICE this summer.

i'm going to scream bloody murder.

hot humid summer + no air = cranky, irritable, bitchy elizabeth

so, i'm sure you can see how my day is going to go.

this weekend we did nothing. at all...

except...

we had a dairy queen date.

we played monopoly...and i lost.

we ate popcorn each night.

and we played the wii.
