this weekend we did nothing. at all...

except...

we had a dairy queen date.

we played monopoly...and i lost.

we ate popcorn each night.

and we played the wii.

i love lazy weekends.

Peyton needs a hair cut. A summer cut. Bad. I'm always hesitant to get his hair "did" because I love his wiry fur, and it is so darn expensive.

Now you may wonder...why don't you just cut his hair yourself and save money.

Let's take a look back...

Summer 2009:

Elizabeth tells David she believes she can cut Peyton's hair better than groomer.
David thinks this is a great idea because it will save money.
David buys Elizabeth electric dog trimmer thing.
Elizabeth then proceeds to cut off part of sweet Peyton's ear. Not joking.

I swear the entire town heard me yell F**K.

{INSERT SCREAMING, CRYING, PANICKING ELIZABETH.}

needless to say,
the emergency vet bill was much more than a year of cuts at the groomer.

we love petsmart groomers...a lot.

and yes...peyton has forgiven me

Hello Monday!

For once I am glad it's Monday!
1. This weekend was looooong. Too long. I know what you're thinking..."too long of a weekend?" "WHAT?".
2. This Friday is the Royal Wedding I am ever so obsessed about.


ok. back to the long weekend.


As you may know our sweet pup got "re-hurt" again.
David took Friday off to come with me to the vet.
We took him to a new vet (the old one pissed me off-ALOT.)
He started laser therapy. sounds sketch. Worked wonders.
He feels alot better.
We had therapy Friday and Saturday and that = a long weekend.

well, i had a great post planned for today. actually, not that great. just a different one.

well sucky news.
his progress has regressed.
we are back to square one.
we go to the vet later today.

A How to Guide.

How To: trickyourdogintotakinghismeds.  Give your dog his medicine.

1. Find cheese slice. (By opening  said cheese your sweet pup will come bouncing into the kitchen.)

2. Set pill(s) in cheese and ball up, hiding pill.

3. Give pill cheese to pup!

I have decided it is not worth the fight of trying to shove a pill into a pup's mouth.  We do cheese.  Win/Win. (and yes, I feel awesome that I trick my dog)

A Pawfect Dog

Since Peyton is probably the most pampered pup in the world, most wouldn't be surprised that his "Grandma Moore" (David's mom) buys him special doggy treats.

A Pawfect Dog is run by David's parent's neighbor.  She home makes and bakes these adorable (and delicious-I'm only guessing) dog biscuits!

Is it April already?  Where has this year gone?!

1. Gratitude Journal is still going strong...I religiously write down 5 things EVERY SINGLE NIGHT that I am grateful/glad about that happened that day.  I love this time every night.  It makes me really enjoy the small things in life.

2. OK, Peyton is not a misbehaved dog what-so-ever so instead of "training him to behave better" we have narrowed down our "problem areas".  Jumping up on people.  Since his "injury" we have been extra conscious of his jumping.  He has actually done amazing! I'm so proud!!


3. 3 books down of 12!! Whoooo-hoo.  I love to read but like most people I don't have a lot of time to read.  I just read a book that had to do with the 1996 TWA flight that blew up and the conspiracy behind it.  It was great!  It is called Night Fall and it is by Nelson DeMille.

4. I'm still exercising on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday's.  I love it.  I love how I feel after.  I have lots of energy.  However...on Saturday morning my Boot Camp class is being switched to kickboxing!  I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!  I cannot wait to try this.  I have heard lots of good things about it...Have any of you taken a kick boxing class?  How was it?

5. No 5K yet...but I will be running my first one on July 6th!  I'm excited!

6.  I have been spending a lot of time with my sister and David's sister, Theresa.  I love being close to family.  They are the only reliable people you can count on in your life.  I don't know what I would do if I had family issues.  I thank the Lord everyday that I have such a supportive, wonderful, loving family...on both sides!!! I am so lucky :)

Family

We love our families (duh, everyone does!)  We went to my parent's house a few weeks ago.  They had just installed granite counter tops (jealous) and I had to go see them.  Now it is my mission to have granite counter tops. :)
