update on dad:

dad will have surgery, and then a few rounds of radiation therapy.

we are so very thankful that the doctors found this early and he has a low chance of this ever reoccuring!!

not guilty.

casey anthony was found not guilty on all major charges.
i am shocked.
unbelievable.
i have no clue why i was so interested in this case, but i am truly stunned at the verdict.

i wish that i could say "no" and stand up for myself instead of getting roped into doing things when i don't want to.

i wish my parents lived closer...or i lived closer to them.

confess

i should have probably linked up with carrisa's confess link up before today, but i didn't...i have no good reason

so here are some confessions. bc i'm so secretive you guys are just dying to know :)

i confess i let peyton sleep in the bed. not on the bed. in the bed. right next to us. i will be uncomfortable to make peyton comfy. i need help i think. even though he has a brand new bed...he prefers to sleep with his momma.

i confess on my days off, i sometimes don't do a damn thing. i just don't feel like using my brain. peyton and i watch the price is right and walker texas ranger...then we water the flowers. that is about as active as i get some days.

i confess we had those frozen meals for dinner one night this week. and it they were good.

i confess i spend too much money on avon products. i can't help it. when you see a deal you have to snatch it up. i also confess david may have gotten irritated at me for writing so many checks to his sister since she is my avon rep.

i confess i watched 2 christmas movies, and listened to a christmas cd this past weekend. sometimes christmas just needs to come more than once a year.

i confess i like to move over to david's side of the bed when he leaves for work. in fact i like to actually wake up, do somethings around the house, then get back into bed on his side and sleep awhile longer.

i confess i worked out then went to the pizza hut buffet. counter productivity at its finest. classy.

i confess that the hospital i work at is undergoing construction. if i hear another hammer beat against a wall i am going to quit my job.

i have compiled a list of randomness/oddness that i have encountered over the past few weeks...


1. an MD i work with didn't lock the bathroom door when he went in. i opened the door. thank goodness he was facing the toilet.

2. we had a pitch in at work. the designated "drink" person bought 3 2liters: diet 7up, cherry dr. pepper, and strawberry soda...most random assortment EVER.

3. i have been having a reoccurring dream of getting bitten by a squirrel.

4. David insists on calling Ben Affleck...Ben AFFLAC. (duck voice and all) he thinks it is hilarious.

5. my dog hates "FLO" the progressive commercial girl. he growls at her.

6. i ate a jellybelly that was flavored grass. yes grass. wtf?

7. wow. i have no words.

ugly day outside.

eww it is dark and ominous outside right now. (the beautiful sun should be shining)
kinda eerie...like, tornado eerie...yuck.

david told me this morning i have been extra bossy lately.

(while i was ordering asking him to empty the dishwasher)

i got pissy after he said it. even though i knew he was right.

it's not that i wasn't aware of it.

i am.

but no one wants to hear it.

Let me just tell you something...

• i don't coupon. and i don't care. even with a stupid coupon it is still cheaper to buy the store brand.

• i still sleep with my baby blankets. yes, plural.  and i don't care. i don't have to have them to sleep. i just like it. i know there are some of you out there that still sleep with that special something.

• the only shows i have consistently watched from episode uno are The Office and Big Brother.  i always get into shows (Glee, Fringe, The Amazing Race, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, etc.) and get board with them. I always plan on watching them in their entirety but never do. don't care

• yes, i realize that Peyton is a dog. he is my dog. i will spoil him and treat him like a child if i want too. i don't have a child yet, and until i do, Peyton always hold my undivided attention. i don't care.

• i have an suv. i love it. i will never NOT have one. i don't care about the outrageous amount of money it takes to fill the tank. I knew that before purchasing it.  Therefore, you will not find me in shock when I fill it. I feel safe in my suv. i like feeling safe.

• i'm bossy. like, really bossy. and i don't care. i'm ocd and i like things to get done...when i want them done. David calls me boss. i like to think of it as a term of endearment.

Awkward Family Email?

You know that site Awkward Family Photos?

I laugh so hard when I see them.
anyway...they have an email section, which is equally hilarious.
A few weeks ago, David and I received an awkward email.
This email was sent by David's aunt about her daughter (David's cousin)
{Names and locations have been changed to protect the innocent}

 Well, it has come to my attention, that Jane got married, yesterday.  He is the guy from Kansas City, that I met a month or so ago; seemed very nice, and they seemed to be crazy about each other. Met on Internet last fall and have visited each other a couple of times, and then,, this past week-end they went to city- hall and got married, and then he got on an airplane and went back to Kansas City.  He will be transferring up there in a few weeks.  Would tell you more, but that's all I've been told. I  pray that we don't see this story on Dateline, or 48 hrs., in the future.

The Flying Cupcake

Ok, a few weeks back I mentioned my love of Red Velvet Cupcakes. 
However, I didn't mention I am very particular about where I get them from.

The Flying Cupcake Bakery has not 1 but 2 locations in Indianapolis, and they have the most delicious assortment of cupcakes.  I mean DE-freaking-LICIOUS.
