BANTING: Two groups of UMNO piad protesters caused a commotion in front of the Kuala Langat district council office here yesterday over the Ex-BN Selangor Government’s plan to set up a centralised pig-farming project in Ladang Tumbuk near the district’s border with Sepang.

Kuala Langat district police chief Supt Muhammad Radzi Ishak said the protesters dispersed half an hour later without any untoward incident because they are not paid by UMNO to do so and no one was arrested because all the protestor are paid by UMNO thus get automatic protection from police.
The largest group of protesters, numbering about 90, was led by Sepang Umno division information chief Nisman Yusof, who held a kenduri to attract more people, hoping to destabilize the new government.
Wearing green and orange T-shirts provided by UMNO, the protesters try to justify the wages pay by UMNO by putting up banners proclaiming that the people of Sepang were against pig-breeding centre in their area.
The controversial RM100mil integrated pig-rearing project, which was approved by the former Barisan state government led by Datuk Seri Dr Khir Toyo, would proceed.
