Negarakuku lyrics

"My song, is just like the durian
Tough and spiky, only
To see if you dare to open it, to look at the truth inside
It can be very stinky, it can be very fragrant
It only depends on what kind of nostrils you have"

MALAYsian especially the Malays take the rapping of Negaraku by Namewee as an insult. You either see those “insults” as half full cup or a half empty cup. Every insults (or compliments depends on how you want to define it), is the truth, no lies or extravagant.

Please la, are you guys so great that you can’t take any criticisms?

Give and take la, you guys win so much already, the Scholarships, x-Freedom of Religion, Bumi-contracts and etc.

Give us a break and let us complain a bit la. What Namewee did was brave without considering the consequences but what he sang is what is in my mind as well.

Namewee isn’t RPK, Namewee suck-in his balls when the police come after him but that’s because he doesn’t has any political support.

Lot of peoples argues that we should respect the local cultures, but in the first place are we Chinese not the locals? My family has been here for four generation, that’s almost a century. We are here before the formation of Malaysia.

If we are not locals, who are the locals?

Those Bugis and Filipino whose parents are illegal immigrant?
